FHSU supports international students with New Year celebrations

HAYS, Kan. -- Fort Hays State University brings in the new year by supporting international students celebrating Chinese New Year events Jan. 27-29.
The public is invited, and all events are free to attend, but FHSU will collect free-will donations to help support two international students who were injured in a car accident and are receiving care at a Denver hospital.
The Community Connections dumpling making workshop and sampling will be at 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27., at the Center for Life Experiences, 2900 Hall Street in Hays.
The celebration of diversity will feature performances from FHSU students and will include dancers, singers and musicians along with modeling of traditional clothing. This event is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center on campus.
Sunday, Jan. 29, the dumpling feast will be from 6 to 8 p.m. in the FHSU Ballroom, Memorial Union. This is a celebration of the Chinese New Year that will include food and fellowship.
