FHSU faculty receive tenure, promotion

HAYS, Kan. -- Fort Hays State University will promote and give tenure to 17 faculty members, who will be honored at a reception at 3 p.m. Friday, April 27, in the Memorial Union's Stouffer Lounge.
The changes go into effect in fall 2012.
Five faculty members were granted tenure and promoted to the listed academic rank:
Toby Flores, associate professor of art and design.
Dr. AviKempinski, associate professor of modern languages.
Dr. BrianMaricle, associate professor of biologicalsciences.
Dr. Greg Weisenborn, associate professor of management and marketing.
Dr. Robert Moody, associate professor of advanced education programs.
Six faculty members were promoted to the listed academic rank:
Dr. Rosa-MariaCastaneda, assistant professor of modern languages.
Dr. Keith Dreiling, associate professor of mathematics and computer science.
Dr. Rita Hauck, professor of technology studies.
Angela Walters, associate professor of informatics.
Dr. Lanee Young, associate professor of mathematics and computer science.
Dr. Hong Biao Zeng, professor of mathematics and computer science.
Six faculty members were granted tenure:
Dr. Jill Arensdorf, chair of the Department of Leadership Studies.
Dr. Bryan Bennett, assistant professor of political science.
Dr. Jennifer Bonds-Raacke, chair of the Department of Psychology.
Dr. Stephen Donnelly, assistant professor of chemistry.
Dr. Carl Miller,assistant professor of philosophy.
Linda Sanko, assistant professor of nursing.
