04/04/12 ema
HAYS, Kan. -- For 36 years, Fort Hays State University's Teacher Career Fair has brought together school administrators and candidates from all over the nation and offered teachers and teacher candidates the opportunity to make contacts with personnel directors, principals and other school representatives.
The 37th will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Monday, April 16, in the Memorial Union's Fort Hays Ballroom. Registration tables open at 8 a.m.
The fair provides candidates, inexperienced as well as experienced, a one-stop opportunity to contact a large number of employers to initiate the application process. It is an efficient and economical way to assist employers looking for qualified candidates in all educational fields.
Prospective applicants should bring prepared, professional resumes and transcripts to leave with school personnel at each table. Any additional information or materials are welcome. Some school districts will bring application packets.
Junior and senior education majors are highly encouraged to attend. Professional dress is recommended.
