HAYS, Kan. -- Edie McCracken recently accepted the position as director of the Memorial Union on the Fort Hays State University campus. She began her new position on July 2.

"In the past few years, we have increased the number of programs and services to the FHSU community, in particular to students and student groups," said McCracken. "I would like to continue to improve upon that growth and make all students know they are welcome in the union and have access to the building, services and programs."

She received a Bachelor of Science degree from East Central University, Ada, Okla., and a Master of Education in higher education administration from University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.

McCracken has served as the assistant director of the union for two years, advising the University Activities Board, coordinating the Encore series and overseeing the Center for Student Involvement.
