HAYS, Kan. -- As part of the senior-level class requirements, Fort Hays State University agriculture students will present seminars in Albertson Hall, room 235, through Nov. 5.

The student seminars, which were scheduled to begin Sept. 24, will begin at 3:30 Monday, Oct. 1.

The presentations will be given to agriculture students as well as anyone else interested in attending.

Oct. 1, 3:30 p.m.: Clint Holland, La Cygne senior, will present "Estrus Synchronization in Cattle." The 4:30 seminar will be "Bovine Respiratory Disease" by Jacob Miller, Culbertson, Neb., senior.

Oct. 8, 3:30 p.m.: Chance Hobrock, St. Francis senior, will present "Spider Mite Control: Economical Benefits for Both the Farmer and Rancher." The 4:30 seminar will be "Picking the Right Heifer Replacements," by Kaid Baumann, Kensington senior.

Oct. 15, 3:30 p.m.: Ashley Montgomery, Hays senior, will present "The NRCS and How it Can Help Producers." Jerdan Schweizer, Langdon senior, will present "The Agricultural Economy: The Role of the Market, Policies and Labor" at 4:30 p.m.

Oct. 22, 3:30 p.m.: Shaun Ohlde, Palmer senior, will present "Certified Wheat." Ryan Hoffman, Hoisington senior, will present "Cover Crops: Benefits in Farming and Ranching" at 4:30 p.m.

Oct. 29, 3:30 p.m.: Candice Wagstrom, North Platte, Neb., senior, will present "Piedmontese Cattle: Double Muscled--Better or Worse?" Katelyn Keller, Ellis senior, "Natural Beef Programs in the Feedlot Sector" at 4:30 p.m.

Nov. 5, 3:30 p.m.: Joseph Penning, Atchison senior, will present "The Controversy Over Finely Textured Beef." The 4:30 p.m. seminar will be "Importance of Food Safety, Quality and Legality in the Meat Packing Industry," by Cody Simmons, Rose Hill senior.
