HAYS, Kan. -- Fort Hays State University collected 411 food items for the new Fort Hays food pantry in Forsyth Library as part of Tigers in Service's first Food Drive Face-off.

For every 20 non-perishable food items, organization got one service hour. Sigma Tau Delta English Honor Society took first place with 154 food items, Delta Zeta sorority second with 73 and National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association third with 63.

Anyone is able to bring food items to the pantry throughout the year. The food will be distributed to students in need of food. The pantry is open during library hours.
