Tigers4Life to host Veteran's Stories in honor of Veteran's Day

HAYS, Kan. -- Tigers4Life, the Fort Hays State University student alumni organization, will host Veteran's Stories at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in the Eagle Communications Hall in the Robbins Center on campus.
The event showcases five different FHSU veterans from World War II to the present:
Dr. Arris Johnson, World War II veteran, graduated with degrees from FHSU in 1946 and 1960.
Larry Thurlow, a Vietnam War veteran, graduated in 1965.
Tyler Hayes, a current student at FHSU, is a veteran of recent conflicts.
Staff Sgt. Michelle Sack, a former FHSU student, works for the Kansas Army National Guard as a recruiting and retention specialist.
Larry Dreiling, who earned FHSU degrees in 1980 and 1983, will serve as the moderator.
The veterans will discuss how they served and how those experiences shaped them as students, alumni and citizens.
Refreshments will be served.
