Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony to be held at FHSU

HAYS, Kan. -- The community is invited to the annual Fort Hays State University Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, in front of Sheridan Hall on the FHSU campus.
FHSU President Edward H. Hammond will give seasons greetings, the Dickenson Carolers will perform, and hayrack rides will be available.
The winners of the annual coloring contest will be announced during the ceremony. The contest has three categories, kindergarten, first and second grade, and third grade. The first, second and third place winners from each category will receive a prize from Wendy's. The pictures will be displayed in the Dreiling Lobby in Sheridan Hall.
After the ceremony, Wendy's will provide hot chocolate and cookies and toys for the children in the Dreiling Lobby, and Santa will make a special appearance.
The ceremony is sponsored by FHSU Greek Life, the International Student Service office, the Office of the President, the University Activities Board and Wendy's Restaurants.
