Area children welcome to trick-or-treat at Fort Hays State University
10/22/13 lar local, area
Pre-school through grade-school students are invited to dress up in their favorite costume for "Safe Trick-or-Treat" at Fort Hays State University from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, in McMindes Hall.
Safe Trick-or-Treat is a fun and safe way for children to celebrate Halloween. Children will be led on a trick-or-treating tour of the FHSU residence halls.
This year, Plymouth Schoolhouse has partnered with the Residence Hall Association (RHA) to host Safe Trick-or-Treat. Plymouth Schoolhouse will help decorate campus and lead trick-or-treaters between the schoolhouse and McMindes Hall.
In between tours, Wooster Place Apartments will provide trick-or-treaters with goodie bag decorations in the McMindes game room. Custer Hall will host a "mad scientist lab" in McMindes Hall, room 2R. Wiest Hall will run a small "haunted obstacle course" in the second-floor lobby.
Participating FHSU students in the residence halls will hand out candy.
