Tigers in Service to host Alternative Weekend at Topeka Zoo

Fort Hays State University's Tigers in Service will host an alternative weekend for 20 FHSU students on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Topeka Zoo.
Volunteers will assist the zoo by helping with various needs such as cleaning the animal areas, raking leaves, picking up trash and doing landscaping work.
To apply for the alternative weekend, students can pick up an application in Custer Hall, room 202. Applications are due by 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, in the same location.
Tigers in Service will pay for expenses for participating students.
Tigers in Service is a student service organization at FHSU that "promotes and provides community service opportunities which encourage social responsibility, community involvement, thoughtful action and civic engagement."
