The Fort Hays State University Admission Office invites high school junior and seniors and college transfer students to attend Tiger Day on Saturday, Nov. 9, to discover FHSU.
"Tiger Day provides you with an excellent opportunity to attain important information regarding academic majors, scholarships, financial aid, student life, athletics, co-curricular activities and more," says the FHSU Admission Office on their website at http://www.fhsu.edu/admissions/tiger-day.
Registration for Tiger Day begins at 8:15 a.m. in the Memorial Union. The academic and co-curricular fair will be from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. in the Fort Hays Ballroom. The fair will give students the chance to see all the different organizations and departments at FHSU.
The welcome will start at 9:30 a.m. in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center in Sheridan Hall. Admissions staff will have a presentation at 10:15 concerning scholarships, tuition, deadlines and a checklist of what students need to do.
Students will then have an opportunity to visit the academic departments that they are interested in as a major from 11 to 11:45 a.m.
Current FHSU students will be available to answer any questions prospective students may have about FHSU and classes at 11:45 a.m.
The day will end with a tour around campus and the residential halls at 12:30 p.m.
Students can find out more information and register at www.fhsu.edu/admissions/tiger-day. The deadline to register is Saturday, Nov. 2. To schedule an individual tour, call the Admissions Office at 785-628-5666.
