Santa Claus is coming early to Fort Hays State University as a participant in the Annual Tree-Lighting Ceremony, taking place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, in front of Sheridan Hall.

The event, sponsored by FHSU Greek Life, the International Student Services Office, the Office of the President, the University Activities Board, FHSU Athletics and Wendy's restaurants, will feature remarks from FHSU President Edward H. Hammond and the announcement of the annual coloring contest winners.

Activities will include the appearance of a toy-bearing Santa Claus, hay rack rides and performances by the Dickens Carolers. 

Hot chocolate and cookies will be available in Dreiling Lobby of Sheridan Hall.
