Tickets are still available for the special Encore Series concert by the Vienna Boys Choir, an exclusive performance at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 12, in the Beach/Schmidt Performing Arts Center in Sheridan Hall on the Fort Hays State University campus.
Founded in 1498 by Emperor Maximilian, the Vienna Boys Choir sang exclusively for the imperial court until the early 20th century. Today, the famed choir, ages 10 to 14, delight music lovers around the world with a pure angelic sound that encompasses a vast repertoire from Austrian folk songs to classical masterpieces.
Tickets are $24-$30 for the general public and $17-$21 for FHSU students. This off-series event is not included in the Encore Series season ticket package. Special group rates are also available for this show only -- groups of 12 or more can purchase unreserved seats for $15 per ticket.
Tickets are available through the website, www.fhsu.edu/encore, at the Student Service Center in the Memorial Union, or by calling 785-628-5306. Tickets may also be bought the night of the performance at the Sheridan Hall box office.
