Four members of the College of Business and Entrepreneurship faculty at Fort Hays State University have published an article in the Southwest Business Administration Journal on student use of social media.
"New Media Communication Preferences" was written by Dr. Mark Bannister, dean of the College of Business and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Wally Guyot, professor of management and marketing, Dr. Robert Meier, professor of informatics, and Dr. James (Skip) Ward, assistant professor of management and marketing.
"New Media Communication Preferences," in Ward's words, "examines social media communication preferences of students enrolled in the College of Business and Entrepreneurship." The authors surveyed students enrolled in the college and found that students preferred smart phones, YouTube and Facebook for internal communications.
The Southwest Business Administration Journal, affiliated with Texas Southern University in Houston, provides a forum for enhancing teaching and learning within the business administration field. The article will feature in the Fall 2013 issue.
