Fort Hays State University was approved by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) to add a student chapter. As the world's largest human resource membership organization, SHRM promotes interactions between Human Resource Management students and practitioners.

There are over 575 affiliated SHRM chapters in both the United States and abroad, including a local chapter in Hays.

Dr. LeAnn Brown, assistant professor of management and marketing, was approved as a board member on the Western Kansas Human Resource Management Association (WKHRMA).

"This connection with WKHRMA will allow us to partner on several activities and learning opportunities for our students," said Brown.
