FHSU Alumni hires Denver sophomore as legislative intern

HAYS, Kan. -- The Fort Hays State University Alumni Association has welcomed a new student intern for the 2014 spring semester. Jade Singleton-Reich, a Denver, Colo., sophomore, is the new governmental relations student liaison.
Singleton-Reich, a 2012 graduate of East High School, is a nursing major with a minor in Spanish. She is a VIP Ambassador, is the parent and family Senior Orientation Leader for the Future Year Experience team, a Tiger Caller, and is also a part of the Learning Community Go Global as the peer mentor.
Singleton-Reich will work directly with the director of governmental relations at FHSU to aid in implementing and maintaining an effective legislative support network. Responsibilities include monitoring legislative events, maintaining public relations with the campus, community and state, tracking legislative activities, engaging in legislative research, and coordinating legislative meetings.
She will also assist in educating individuals on the stance that the university has on any particular topic concerning the welfare of the university and higher education.
