Ganstrom organizes national ceramic exhibition

HAYS, Kan. -- Linda Ganstrom, professor of art and design at Fort Hays State University, installed and co-curated an art exhibit with the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) at the Milwaukee Art Museum, Milwaukee, Wis.
"Flow: The 2014 NCECA Ceramic Arts Invitational" will be the centerpiece of the NCECA conference exhibitions of more than 100 shows in the Milwaukee area. "Flow" features works from 20 artists ranging from a clay chrysanthemum to representations of sound waves. It is on view until Saturday, March 22.
One of Ganstrom's sculptures, "Bell(e): Mary," was also accepted for the San Angelo National Ceramic Competition at the San Angelo Art Museum in San Angelo, Texas. The exhibition runs from Friday, April 11, to Tuesday, June 24.
Two other sculptures, "Bell(e): Elizabeth" and "Bell(e): Maria," were also featured in a book, "500 Figures, Volume II," by Lark Books.
