Town hall meeting scheduled on veterans suffering from Agent Orange exposure
03/04/14
Agent Orange and its ongoing effects among the American veterans of the Vietnam War will be the subject of a town hall meeting from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, March 14, in the Stouffer Lounge in Fort Hays State University's Memorial Union.
The meeting will be one of three around the state. A meeting in Salina is scheduled for Saturday, March 15, and one in Topeka is scheduled for Sunday, March 16.
The town halls are an initiative of the Vietnam Veterans of America to call attention to the veterans suffering from the disabilities associated with exposure to dioxin, the active ingredient in Agent Orange, a defoliant widely used by U.S. forces during the Vietnam War.
