Fort Hays State University will host the John Heinrichs Scholarly and Creative Activities Day on Wednesday, April 30. This event recognizes the scholarly and creative activities of students and faculty. The public is invited to attend.
Renamed in honor of Dr. John Heinrichs, who passed away in January, the John Heinrichs Scholarly and Creative Activities Day celebrates the research and scholarly work conducted by various disciplines within the university. Departments across campus will sponsor special activities, including seminars and research presentations.
A research poster display features student and faculty work from the College of Arts and Sciences, the College of Business and Entrepreneurship, the College of Education and Technology, and the College of Health and Life Sciences. Posters will be exhibited from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Memorial Union's Fort Hays Ballroom. Students and faculty will be available to explain their work and answer questions from 1 to 3 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
Awards will be given for poster presentations in five categories: Undergraduate, Graduate, Undergraduate Research Experience, Kansas Academy of Math and Science, and Faculty.
