Participants will glow-in-the-dark while running around the Fort Hays State University campus Friday, Sept. 19, during the third annual Light in the Dark 5K Run/Walk hosted by FHSU Students for Life.
Registration is from 7:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. Activities start with a short presentation at 8:20 p.m. The race will start at 8:40, beginning and ending on the Memorial Union patio. Prizes will be presented to the top three male and female finishers.
The event is open to FHSU students, faculty, staff and members of the community. The deadline to register is Sept. 3 to be guaranteed a T-shirt. Registration is $20 per person or $50 for a team of four. A glow-in-the-dark safety green T-shirt, bracelet and necklace are all included in the registration fee. There will be a power station where participants can charge the glow of their T-shirts.
Proceeds go towards educating students about pro-life issues and resources and bringing pro-life speakers to campus.
