HAYS, Kan. -- "While our Bachelor of Arts in sociology is listed as No. 6 on the 2015 Best Value Schools list of most affordable online bachelor's of sociology degrees, it is actually even better," said Dr. Brett Zollinger, Fort Hays State University's chair of the Department of Sociology.

BestValueSchools.com averages the out-of-state and in-state tuition rates to decide which schools are most affordable.

"FHSU offers the lowest tuition and fees for distance students when compared to the out-of-state rate and the in-state rate averaged together of all other schools on the list," said Zollinger.

BestValueSchools.com also recognizes five online master programs at FHSU as the most affordable for 2015:

No. 1 for the Master of Science in school psychology in the psychology programs category.
No. 2 for the Master of Science in special education in special education programs.
No. 2 for the Master of Science in counseling in educational counseling and school counseling programs.
No. 3 for the Master of Business Administration with a human resource management concentration on the master's and Master of Business Administration in human resources management category.
No. 3 for the Master of Business Administration finance concentration, in the finance category.
