Department of Management to host agricultural entrepreneurship panel

HAYS, Kan. -- Kansas Secretary of Agriculture Jackie McClaskey will lead a panel discussion on agricultural entrepreneurship at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 14, in the Black and Gold room of the Memorial Union.
The panel is hosted by the Fort Hays State University Department of Management and will discuss how the state of Kansas supports agriculture entrepreneurship.
The discussion is one of several planned by the Department of Management on a variety of similar events that link to entrepreneurship programs and the College of Business and Entrepreneurship at FHSU.
Other panelists include Dr. Craig Smith, assistant professor of agriculture at FHSU; Henry Schwaller, instructor of management at FHSU; Dr. Bob Gillen, department head for the Western Kansas Agricultural Research Centers of Kansas State University; and Steven Johnson, representative for the 108th District of the Kansas House of Representatives.
Larry Dreiling of the High Plains Journal will moderate.
The event is free and open to the public.
