FHSU Tiger Hearts to host awareness week

HAYS, Kan. -- A Fort Hays State University's Leadership 310 class team, Tiger Hearts, will host an Awareness Week about the dangers and prevention of heart disease and stroke from Monday, April 18, to Friday, April 22, in the Memorial Union.
The schedule of events:
Tuesday, April 19: "Smack Down Heart Disease." Individuals can paint their hand red and place it on a banner to show support in the fight against heart disease and stroke.
Wednesday, April 20: "Heart to Heart." Information about heart disease will be distributed, along with free candy.
Thursday, April 21: "Red Ribbon Awareness." Visitors to Tiger Hearts in the Memorial Union will get a red ribbon to wear in support of all those who suffer from any heart conditions.
Friday, April 22: "Go RED Day." Students, faculty, and staff are invited to wear red to show that FHSU supports the mission of the American Heart Association.
