Fort Hays State Honor Society to host GRE preparation sessions

HAYS, Kan. - The Fort Hays State Honor Society will offer free Graduate Record Examination preparation sessions at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, Wednesday, Sept. 14, Wednesday, Sept. 21, and Wednesday, Sept. 28, in Forsyth Library, room 015.
The first session will feature Santina Dechant, coordinator for the Prometric Test Center at FHSU, and will cover what to expect on test day and how to register.
The following week, Dr. Keith Dreling, associate professor of mathematics, will speak on the math section of the exam and how to use Power Prep II software.
The Sept. 21 session will focus on general tips and tricks of taking tests and will be led by Dr. Elodie Jones, assistant professor of teacher education.
On Sept. 28, Dr. Eugene Rice, professor of philosophy, will speak on the critical thinking section of the exam.
Sessions are open to all students. Free books will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
