SMEI to celebrate World Space Week

HAYS, Kan. -- The Science and Mathematics Education Institute at Fort Hays State University invites the public to celebrate World Space Week, Monday through Thursday, Oct. 3-6.
Participants can come to the Makerspace, located in the basement of Forsyth Library, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. and 1 to 3:30 p.m. to build a rocket, make a 3D print of a NASA aircraft, enter a prize-drawing and test a flight simulator.
The FHSU Astronomy Club will also host an observation of the moon, Venus, Saturn and Mars at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 5 on the Tomanek Hall Observation Deck.
All events are free and open to the public.
