Students, teacher attend conference in Arizona

Six College of Science, Technology and Mathematics students and one professor at Fort Hays State University recently attended the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference in Phoenix, Ariz.
Dr. Lanee Young, associate professor of mathematics, presented "Modeling in Mathematics and Science" while students attended sessions to learn about teaching activities and mathematics education research from educators around the United States.
The students who accompanied Young were Will Pingsterhaus, Cimarron senior; Clay Kear, Colwich senior; Brianna Wooldridge, Hays senior; Thomas Broxterman, Hoyt senior; Kevin Jones, Lee's Summit, Mo., senior, and Nicole Fischer, Leoti senior.
