Hays, Kan. -- Sigma Alpha, the agricultural sorority chapter at Fort Hays State University, has organized a donation drop-off location for supplies for Kansans affected by the recent wildfires.

The drop-off location, open through Friday, March 17, is Lang Diesel of Hays, 1366 Toulon Ave.

"We wanted to find a way to help out with the fires," said Mariah Utter, Brewster, Neb., senior majoring in art education.

"We contacted the Kansas Livestock Association, and we were able to figure out what people needed," said Utter. "There have been so many people who have lost everything and no matter what kind of donations we get they will help someone in some way."

Suggested donations include cash, feed, milk replacer and fencing supplies, but other donations are welcome.
