07/27/17
HAYS, Kan. -- Fort Hays State University's Department of Social Work and Seward County Community College in Liberal are collaborating to offer a social work cohort program starting Fall 2017.
An informational session about the Liberal cohort is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday, July 31, at the Seward County Community College Hobbie Academic Building, Room SW 229C.
The partnership will allow students in the southwest corner of Kansas to obtain a Bachelor of Social Work degree by completing general education courses at SCCC and then by taking face-to-face night classes with FHSU's social work faculty on the campus of SCCC in Liberal.
Cohorts typically are made up of non-traditional students who are unable to move to Hays or commute to the FHSU campus.
Anyone interested in the Liberal cohort program can contact Dr. Tim Davis, chair of the Department of Social Work, at todavis@fhsu.edu or 785-628-5395.
