HAYS, Kan. - Dr. Rick Rochester, assistant professor of leadership studies at Fort Hays State University, was recently awarded the Provincial Governor's Award for his work in education at Shenyang Normal University.

Rochester has been teaching for more than 30 years and moved to China in 2004. He has been a full-time faculty member with FHSU for two years.

Shenyang Normal University is one of FHSU's Chinese partners.
