KAMS students win Outstanding Poster Award

HAYS, Kan. – Three students from the Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Science recently won the Outstanding Poster Award at the American Chemical Society Rocky Mountain Regional Meeting in Loveland, Colo.
Alexandra Depew, Wichita, Danica Kostner, Kingman, and Amelia Richter, Dodge City, presented a poster of their research. The students were led by Dr. Arvin Cruz, associate professor of chemistry.
Depew is a senior from Wichita Northwest High School. Kostner is a senior from Kingman High School, and Richter is a senior from Dodge City High School.
The conference was attended by an estimated 400 undergraduate students, graduate students and faculty. The trip was sponsored by KAMS and the FHSU Undergraduate Research Experience.
