Bruner receives ACPA research grant

HAYS, Kan. – Dr. Brett Bruner, director of transition and student conduct at Fort Hays State University, recently earned the 2018 Research Grant from the American College Personnel Association: College Educators International Commission on Student Involvement.
Bruner, along with Dr. Keegan Nichols, vice president of student affairs at Texas A&M University, and Dr. Lisa Baumgartner, associate professor of adult education at Texas A&M, received the grant for the project “The Influence of Leadership Education on Frist-Generation College Students’ Transition into and through College.”
Dr. Bruner will accept the award at the ACPA Annual Convention this March in Houston, Texas.
The ACPA Commission on Student Involvement Research Award encourages research and scholarship in student involvement and engagement. Awards are evaluated on description of the issue being investigated, research design and research significance.
