Fort Hays State Southwest Kansas Office to celebrate new home on Friday

HAYS, Kan. – A ribbon cutting and celebration will officially open the new home of Fort Hays State University’s Southwest Kansas Office in Garden City at 2 p.m. Friday, March 2, at 409 Campus Drive, Suite 107.
Director Mercedes Ramos will be joined by Dr. Jeff Briggs, interim provost at Fort Hays State, and Dr. Dennis King, assistant vice president for student affairs.
Refreshments and giveaways will be provided.
The office’s mission is to recruit and support on-campus and virtual students from southwest Kansas. A special focus is on Hispanic students.
“We recognize that every student is unique with his or her needs,” said Ramos. “The Southwest Kansas Office is dedicated to providing personalized support to current and prospective students, and we are happy to answer questions and provide services that will make the transition to Fort Hays State University easier.”
