HAYS, Kan. – A news conference honoring major donors who made video boards possible at Fort Hays State University’s main athletic venues is set for 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, in the Sunset Atrium of FHSU's Memorial Union.

Verlin and Elaine Pfannenstiel funded the new video scoreboard hanging above center court at Gross Memorial Coliseum, which was installed before the 2017-18 school year.

Combining to provide a huge new video board in time for the 2018 home football season at Lewis Field Stadium were Don and Chris Bickle, Eagle Communications, and the Bob and Pat Schmidt Foundation.

The public is invited to attend.

The donors also will be recognized during halftime of Thursday's FHSU women's basketball game at GMC vs. Northeastern (Okla.) State University. Tipoff for the women's game is 5:30 p.m., followed by the men's FHSU-NSU game at 7:30.
