Janette Meis began work in the Office of the President at Fort Hays State University on Monday, filling the vacant position of event planner and communication specialist.

She was previously program coordinator for alumni engagement for the FHSU Alumni Association.

Before joining the FHSU Alumni Association staff, Meis worked as the state director for the Kansas Court Appointed Special Advocate programs for more than 15 years, providing technical assistance, training and support to the 23 CASA programs in Kansas. She has experience with project management, communication, grant writing, public relations and program development.
