HAYS, Kan. – John Tavlarios, chief operating officer of Gener8 Maritime Inc. and featured speaker at the Feb. 22 edition of Fort Hays State University’s Entrepreneur Direct Lecture Series, has issued a challenge to FHSU students.
Students will have the opportunity to compete for a $1,000 prize for the best video elevator pitch for a business idea. To enter, students must make their pitches on videos no longer than 45 seconds. Attach the video in an email to Tavlarios at gmcops@aol.com with the subject line: “[Your Name] FHSU Elevator Pitch.”
Pitches must be submitted by March 15.
“If you have an innovative social entrepreneurship idea, I suggest not being shy in pitching it as well,” said Dr. Mark Bannister, dean of the W.R. and Yvonne Robbins College of Business and Entrepreneurship at FHSU.
“If you want to truly pursue your business, you have just made a great contact with a highly successful entrepreneur,” he said.
