Raymond Wilson, former history chair, invited to write book commentary

HAYS, Kan. – Dr. Raymond Wilson, former chair of the Department of History and an emeritus professor of history at Fort Hays State University, was invited to write a commentary for a book about a famous Native American spiritual leader.
The commentary appeared in “Black Elk, Lakota Visionary,” by Harry Oldmeadow, coordinator of philosophy and religious studies at La Trobe University, Bendigo, Australia.
His book gives insight and new information on Black Elk, an Oglala Lakota spiritual leader who lived from 1863 to 1950.
