Beloit area students recognized for scholarships at Fort Hays State program

HAYS, Kan. – Students from north-central Kansas and southern Nebraska were recognized at a recent Student Recognition Program in Beloit for the scholarships they have been awarded from Fort Hays State University for the 2018-19 academic year.
The Beloit SRP primarily serves students from the Kansas counties of Cloud, Jewell, Lincoln, Mitchell, Republic and Washington and from the cities of Osborne and Downs in Osborne County, and students from the Nebraska counties of Clay, Jefferson, Nuckolls and Thayer. Students from outside the primary areas are also welcome.
Students are arranged alphabetically by high school. Cutlines are provided for the photos.
Beloit High School
Hunter Cashatt, a 2018 Beloit High School graduate, received a $1,000 Traditions Scholar Award and a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in art. Elizabeth Overmiller, a 2018 Beloit High School graduate, received a $1,500 Hays City Scholar Award and a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in chemistry. Autumn Sneath, a 2018 Beloit High School graduate, received a $1,500 Hays City Scholar Award and a $500 Academic Opportunity Award in biology. Clifton-Clyde High School
Emily Coffman, a 2018 Clifton-Clyde High School graduate, received a $1,500 Hays City Scholar Award and a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in allied health. Coffman, daughter of Brian and Rhonda Coffman, Agenda, plans to major in radiologic technology. Cydney Bergmann, a 2018 Concordia High School graduate, received a $3,500 Presidential Award of Distinction and a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in agriculture.
