Dodge City area students recognized for scholarships at Fort Hays State program

HAYS, Kan. – Students from the southwestern Kansas region were recognized at a recent Student Recognition Program in Dodge City for the scholarships they have been awarded from Fort Hays State University for the 2018-19 academic year.
The annual Dodge City SRP primarily serves students from Ness City and students from Clark, Comanche, Edwards, Ford, Gray, Hodgeman, Kiowa and Meade counties. Students from outside the primary area, including students from Oklahoma, are also welcome.
Students are arranged alphabetically by high school. Cutlines are provided for the photos.
Andover eCademy
Emmaly Slattery, a 2016 Andover eCademy graduate and a Dodge City Community College transfer student, received a $1,500 Transfer Student Award. Slattery, daughter of Wesley and Debby Slattery, Dodge City, plans to major in finance. Ashland High School
Jackalyn Endicott, a 2018 Ashland High School graduate, received a $2,000 University Scholar Award and a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in nursing. Cimarron High School
Mikaela Pachner, a 2018 Cimarron High School graduate, received a $1,500 Hays City Scholar Award and a $900 Academic Opportunity Award in business.
