HAYS, Kan. – A total of 32 students will be honored Saturday, May 5, at the eighth annual completion ceremony for the Kansas Academy of Mathematics and Science at Fort Hays State University.
The ceremony is set for 11 a.m. in the Fort Hays Ballroom of the Memorial Union.
KAMS is a premier academic high school program where juniors and seniors live on the FHSU campus for two years. At the end of those two years, after earning nearly 70 hours of college credit, the students receive a certificate of completion, as well as diplomas from their home high schools.
This year’s class includes 14 international students and will be the largest completion class in the history of KAMS.
