FHSU student receives recognition at national leadership conference

Allison Railsback, Mankato senior majoring in agricultural education at Fort Hays State University, recently received national recognition at the Phi Beta Lambda national leadership conference in Baltimore, Md.
Railsback, virtual member of Kansas Phi Beta Lambda, competed in two events, both of which included a production component and an objective test. She received fourth place in business communication and seventh place in computer applications.
Railsback, communications officer for Kansas PBL, was also recognized as the Kansas PBL Who’s Who recipient at the conference. “This award honors exemplary PBL members who have made significant contributions to the association at the local, state and national levels,” said Railsback.
“Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda Inc. is the largest and oldest student-led business organization in the world,” according to its website.
“Each year, FBLA-PBL inspires and prepares over 230,000 middle school, high school and college students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences.”
