Dr. Raymond Wilson, retired professor and chair of the History department at Fort Hays State University, is serving on one of the top Native American academic journals, American Indian Culture and Research.
American Indian Culture and Research, published at the University of California, Los Angeles, focuses on Native American studies and publishes book reviews, literature, and scholarly papers.
Wilson recently reviewed a manuscript on the issues that Navajo students face in the Bureau of Indian Affairs that operate schools on the reservation.
“There is still a need for non-Indian educators to recognize Native American students’ cultural beliefs,” says Wilson.
