HAYS, Kan. – Five concentrations for a Bachelor of Science in health studies and two concentrations for a B.S. in technology leadership are covered under an articulation agreement signed Tuesday by the presidents of Fort Hays State University and Northwest Kansas Technical College.
The agreements were signed by FHSU President Tisa Mason and NWKTC President Ben Schears in a ceremony on the Northwest Tech campus in Goodland.
The degree options for the health studies program are gerontology; grant writing and social entrepreneurship; health promotion; leadership; and sociology of medicine and aging.
Under the technology leadership program, students can seek the B.S. in business and industry or career and technical education.
The agreement will facilitate the seamless transfer of students from Northwest Tech to Fort Hays State. The university will honor course credit earned under the approved programs for graduates with a 2.0 cumulative grade point average.
