Twenty-four members of Fort Hays State’s Collegiate Farm Bureau chapter recently attended the Kansas Farm Bureau’s Young Farmers and Ranchers Conference in Manhattan.
“This year, Kansas Farm Bureau is celebrating 100 years, and this year's YF&R Conference was focused on honoring traditions of the past while providing opportunities to cultivate progress in their future careers,” said Allison Railsback, Mankato senior majoring in agriculture education, chapter president.
The conference consisted of many events for students to attend including workshops, tours, and guest speakers. Two of the guest speakers were Kansas U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran and U.S. Rep. Roger Marshall, Kansas First District.
