HAYS, Kan. – Fort Hays State University’s Dr. Raymond Wilson, professor emeritus of history, wrote two film review essays of “Ohiyesa: The Soul of an Indian.”

One essay appears in South Dakota History, the other in American Indian Culture and Research Journal.

Ohiyesa (Dr. Charles Eastman) was the most well-known educated Native American author and reformer in the early 20th century. He worked to improve Indian and white relations through his publications and lecture tours.
