HAYS, Kan. – Fort Hays State University’s Dr. Janet Stramel, associate professor of teacher education, spoke at the recent Association of Teachers of Mathematics conference in Kenilworth, United Kingdom.

Stramel led her keynote presentation “Keywords Are Not the Key to Solving Word Problems” for approximately 350 mathematics teachers. The session was April 17.

The Association of Teachers of Mathematics is the United Kingdom's state-wide mathematics conferences for P12 teachers. The conference offers an opportunity for mathematics teachers to explore new ideas and make social and professional connections.
