FHSU’s Kansas Wetlands Education Center to host summer activities

HAYS, Kan. - On select Fridays in June, the Kansas Wetlands Education Center will host free nature crafts. Each session will have a different theme. No registration is required. Drop in any time from 1 to 4 p.m.
After learning the science behind the theme, participants will create a unique craft to take home. The activities are geared toward ages 5 to 13, but families of all ages are welcome to attend.
Programs are listed below by date:
June 16 – Birds of Cheyenne Bottoms Shrinky Dink Bracelet
June 23 – Tree Cookie Ornament
June 30 – Pressed Flower Lantern
The Kansas Wetlands Education Center, affiliated with FHSU’s Werth College of Science, Technology and Mathematics, is located 10 miles northeast of Great Bend along Kansas Highway 156 at Cheyenne Bottoms, 592 NE K-156 Hwy., Great Bend, KS 67530.
