Women-owned small business workshop offered by SBDC in Dodge City

HAYS, Kan. - The Kansas Small Business Development Center is hosting workshops for women-owned small businesses on Oct. 24 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the University Training Center, 236 San Jose Drive, Dodge City.
The workshops are geared toward women and their partners who own or are interested in starting businesses and for resource providers. Businesses are also welcome to bring their employees or encourage them to attend to gain valuable information.
Workshop topics include access to capital, business incentives through the Kansas Department of Commerce, certifications and opportunities, starting a regional food business, sustainable, impactful, and scalable business models, government contracting, launching an innovation company, and getting started in international trade.
“We are excited to offer this opportunity in Dodge City,” said Laurie Pieper, assistant state director of Kansas SBDC. “This is a chance for participants to learn about issues, needs, and opportunities specifically for women-owned businesses and to share information, connections, and enthusiasm for supporting women-owned small businesses to create strong pathways for success.”
The registration fee to attend the day’s workshops is $10.
