HAYS, Kan. – The Kansas Small Business Development Center is hosting workshops for women-owned small businesses on Feb. 26 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Morton County Civic Center, 400 East Orchard St., Elkhart.
The workshops are geared toward women and their partners who own or are interested in starting businesses as well as toward resource providers. Businesses are also welcome to bring their employees or encourage them to attend to gain valuable information.
Workshop topics include access to capital, Kansas Department of Commerce Programs, starting and growing a food business, and challenges and opportunities in entrepreneurship.
“We are excited to offer this opportunity in Elkhart,” said Laurie Pieper, assistant state director of Kansas SBDC. “This is a chance for participants to learn about issues, needs, and business management skills with information specifically for women-owned businesses. We look forward to meeting attendees and collaborating with our resource partners to help women entrepreneurs create strong pathways for success.”
