HAYS, Kan. – Fort Hays State University announces the launch of its new Family Portal in partnership with CampusESP. This innovative platform aims to enhance parent involvement, foster communication, and empower families to actively support their students’ educational journey.
Why Parent Engagement Matters
Research consistently shows that engaged parents play a pivotal role in student success. Whether helping with college decisions, providing emotional support, or staying informed about campus life, parents significantly impact their student’s enrollment, retention, and overall well-being.
“I know how influential our FHSU family members are to our students, and we wanted to ensure we had a specific resource for them,” said Kathleen Cook, director of retention and persistence. “This way, if their students need support, they know where to go to look for information.”
The FHSU Family Portal offers a comprehensive suite of features designed to keep parents informed, connected, and engaged. Here’s what families can expect:
- Personalized Information: Parents receive timely updates tailored to their student’s needs. The portal ensures families stay in the loop, from event notifications to academic milestones.
- Customizable Experience: Family members can choose their areas of interest, whether financial aid, athletics, or resources for out-of-state students. The portal adapts to their preferences.
- Event Calendar and Resources: Wondering about upcoming events, workshops, or campus activities? The portal provides a centralized calendar and access to valuable resources.
- Easy Sign-Up: Families can register for the FHSU Family Portalat https://fhsu.campusesp.com/users/sign_in. It’s a user-friendly process that empowers parents to stay connected.
- Third-Party Access: While the portal offers valuable general information, families seeking specific student-related data (such as financial details, current classes, and grades) will still need to complete third-party access.
