HAYS, Kan. - Fort Hays State University’s Social Work Department will host a national conference on June 27and 28 at the FHSU Memorial Union.
“On the Road to Thriving Rural Communities,” the 49th Annual National Institute on Social Work & Human Services in Rural Areas will be offered both on campus and through Zoom.
The conference will feature a legislative panel, and keynote speakers on the topics of human trafficking, substance abuse, mental health, and more.
“This conference is a great way to learn more about diversity in rural areas in America, as well as providing human service specialists access to professional development resources through presentations,” said Leea Smarsh, 2024 Rural Conference Intern.
